Leila Thompsky is a first-year graduate student in the Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics and the Levin Lab, coadvised by Naomi Leonard in MAE.  She recently graduated from UCLA with a double major in Applied Mathematics and English. Her research interests focus on the mathematical modeling of collective behavior and social systems, particularly models of opinion dynamics and adaptive systems. At Princeton, she has been awarded the Centennial Fellowship for incoming doctoral students in the Natural Sciences and Engineering. Prior to arriving at Princeton, she worked on two projects modeling opinion dynamics, as well as a project in English on the medieval ballads of the outlaw Robin Hood.
